Testują pilotażowy program ograniczonych stref prędkości
W Rumi po niektórych kwartałach pojedziemy tylko 30 km na godzinę. Miejskie władze testują pilotażowy program ograniczonych stref prędkości.
– Wbrew pozorom takie rozwiązania nie tylko poprawiają bezpieczeństwo, ale i usprawniają ruch na drogach – mówi Jacek Gafka z urzędu miejskiego w Rumi.
W Europie Zachodniej wprowadzane od lat 80., niedawno zaczęły się przyjmować także w polskich miastach, m. in. w Krakowie i Poznaniu. Za tym wzorem poszli rumscy samorządowcy. Na razie nogę z gazu trzeba zdjąć na czterech ulicach: Kujawskiej, Katowickiej, Oksywskiej i Chylońskiej. Maksymalnej prędkości 30 km na godzinę nie odwołują skrzyżowania, nie ma też na nich znaków określających pierwszeństwo. Władze miasta czekają teraz na opinie mieszkańców. Jeżeli pomysł zostanie pozytywnie przyjęty, możemy się spodziewać kolejnych takich stref w Rumi.
