Targowisko w Rumi oprócz wyglądu zmieni także nazwę
Miejski samorząd planując modernizację zasięgnął także opinii Rady Języka Kaszubskiego. W słowie Rëmsczie „e” z końcówki zostanie usunięte.
– Prawidłowa nazwa to Rëmsczi Rënk – wyjaśnia członek Rady Języka Kaszubskiego Tomasz Fopke – Poprzednia to relikt sprzed kilkunastu lat, kiedy brakowało standaryzacji pisowni.
Oprócz poprawnej nazwy targowisko zyska też zadaszenie, nowe ciągi komunikacyjne i sanitariaty. – Nie będzie zamknięte podczas prac, rozpatrujemy ich dwa warianty – opisuje burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny. Koszt oszacowany na półtora mln zł w dwóch trzecich pokryje pozyskana dotacja. Rëmsczi Rënk w nowej odsłonie ma być gotowy w przyszłym roku.
