Szefowa Kaszubskiego Instytutu Rozwoju podsumowuje rok
Z zadowoleniem, ale i nutą niepewności Kaszubi kończą ten rok. Niepodpisanie nowelizacji ustawy o mniejszościach i języku regionalnym oraz zapowiedzi podzielenia województwa pomorskiego nie napawają optymizmem – uważa szefowa Kaszubskiego Instytutu Rozwoju.
– Wzrosła też liczba dzieci uczących się naszego języka w szkołach. To już prawie 18 tysięcy uczniów w 430 szkołach – podsumowuje Katarzyna Knopik.
Katarzyna Knopik w podsumowaniu tego roku podkreśla, że jednym z najważniejszych osiągnięć było złączenie Kaszubów w jednym województwie w 1998 roku. Teraz słyszymy o oderwaniu części gmin do nowego województwa środkowo – pomorskiego – to nie są dobre informacje. W 2015 roku do 23 wzrosła już liczba gmin, w których obowiązuje podwójne kaszubsko – polskie nazewnictwo miejscowości. Do tej grupy dołączyły gminy Tuchomie i Przodkowo. W tym roku do samorządów na naukę języka kaszubskiego trafiło łącznie 127 mln złotych. Według zapowiedzi w przyszłym roku wydawanie środków na język kaszubski ma sprawdzić Najwyższa Izba Kontroli. Na tej podstawie Ministerstwa mają przygotować propozycje zmian w finansowaniu nauczania języka kaszubskiego.
