Święty Jan Bosko oficjalnie patronem Rumi
Założyciel zgromadzenia salezjanów św. Jan Bosko już oficjalnie patronem Rumi. Dekret papieża Franciszka odczytano wczoraj podczas uroczystej mszy w Sanktuarium Najświętszej Maryi Panny Wspomożenia Wiernych.
To zwieńczenie prawie czterech lat starań. Homilię wygłosił abp Sławoj Leszek Głódź, podkreślając spuściznę 19 wiecznego zakonnika, nazywanego„Ojcem i nauczycielem młodzieży”. Salezjanie w Rumi działają od ponad 80 lat, specjalizują się w pracy z dziećmi i młodzieżą. Liczą, że patron jeszcze bardziej zainspiruje mieszkańców miasta do działania. Mówi proboszcz salezjańskiego Sanktuarium ks. Janusz Sikora. Rada miasta ogłosiła św. Jana Bosko duchowym patronem Rumi już w 2016 -tym roku. Od tego czasu w sierpniu odbywają się uroczystości na jego cześć.
