Świętowali 25-lecie samorządu oraz jubileusz OSP
Stawiają na turystykę aktywną, do tego przygotowują odpowiednią infrastrukturę – gmina Choczewo świętowała 25-lecie samorządu. Były atrakcje muzyczne i kulinarne, a także XIII Zlot Garbusów, turniej siatkówki plażowej i budowanie zamków z piasków.
– Najważniejsze z nich to inwestycje w infrastrukturę turystyczną i skanalizowanie pasa nadmorskiego od Lubiatowa do Sasina – mówi wójt gminy, Wiesław Gębka.
Samorządowcy przy tej okazji podsumowali ostatnie 25-lecie i przedstawili plany na przyszłość. Samorządowcy planują też kolejne inwestycje i imprezy, które zapewnią turystom atrakcyjne spędzenie czasu podczas deszczowych dni. W Dniach Gminy Choczewo udział wzięli fani starych volkswagenów poprzebierani za policjantów i złodziei – zgodnie z hasłem tegorocznej edycji zlotu „13-ty posterunek”. Były też występy kabaretów i zespołów muzycznych.
Kumulacja atrakcji w Choczewie – w tym roku dni gminy świętowano z podwójnej okazji: 25 lecia samorządu i 70 -lecia istnienia choczewskiej Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej. Jak co roku pojawili się także miłośnicy garbusów na XIII-tym zlocie starych volkswagenów.
I to właśnie ich przemarsz pod gminny urząd dał sygnał do rozpoczęcia sobotniej zabawy. Fani garbusów poprzebierani za policjantów i złodziei – zgodnie z hasłem tegorocznej edycji zlotu “13-ty posterunek” – zostali powitani przez wójta gminy, po czym zabawa przeniosła się na choczewski stadion. Tam na mieszkańców i turystów czekał szereg atrakcji, m.in. występy kabaretów 4 Fala i Formacji Chatelet, zespołu Kuśka Brothers, pokazy samby czy animacje dla dzieci. Tradycyjnie można było też zakosztować lokalnego jedzenia czy podziwiać ludowe wyroby. Tegoroczne obchody były również świętem strażaków – z okazji 70 lat istnienia jednostek w Choczewie, Kopalinie, Sasinie i Słajszewie Zarząd Gminny OSP otrzymały nowy sztandar. Mimo deszczowej pogody sobotnie atrakcje przyciągnęły tłumy mieszkańców i turystów, którzy bawili się do późnych godzin nocnych.
