Strażacy z powiatu kartuskiego będą mieli sonar
Strażacy z powiatu kartuskiego jako pierwsi w województwie pomorskim, będą mieli sonar. Dofinansowanie na zakup urządzenia dostała Straż pożarna w Ostrzycach. Sonar to urządzenie które za pomocą fal dźwiękowych pozwala na badanie i ustalanie co znajduje się na przykład na dnie jeziora. Nowy sprzęt jest wyczekiwany przez strażaków, ich praca to nie tylko interwencje przy pożarach i wypadkach drogowych, ale i na wodzie. Straż powiatu kartuskiego posiada obecnie aż 15 jednostek pływających. I jak mówi Edmund Kwidziński, komendant Powiatowej Straży Pożarnej w Kartuzach, „Sonar pozwoli zaoszczędzić czas, pracę ludzi i pieniądze” . Koszt sonaru to ponad 150 tysięcy złotych z czego 30 tysięcy kosztów poniesie straż pożarna – reszta to dofinansowanie z Lokalnej Grupy Rybackiej we Wieżycy. Sonar Zakupiony będzie najprawdopodobniej do końca maja.
