Straż Miejska w Wejherowie podsumowała kontrole posesji, które mają możliwość podłączenia się do kanalizacji zbiorczej, a korzystają z zbiorników bezodpływowych czyli tzw. szamb.
Urząd Miasta wytypował ich 73, z czego część właścicieli wykonała już przyłącza, część nieruchomości jest niezamieszkałych. Okazało się, że z tego wykazu niepodłączonych do kanalizacji jest 27 budynków – a siedmiu właścicieli zdecydowanie odmówiło podłączenia się do sieci tłumacząc to względami technicznymi bądź finansowymi. Podczas kontroli strażnicy stwierdzili, że wielu właścicieli szamb nie wywiązuje się z obowiązku zawarcia umowy na wywóz nieczystości. Grozi im za to kara grzywny. Póki co Straż Miejska zobowiązała ich do zawarcia umów i zapowiada rekontrole.
