Straż Miejska w Rumi proponuje ogólnowojewódzką akcję, która miałaby się odbyć w pierwszym tygodniu września.
Chodzi o pierwsze po wakacjach dni nauki szkolnej. Tradycyjnie w okolicach szkół jest wtedy więcej patroli policyjnych. Strażnicy Miejscy mieliby się skupić na pokazaniu najmłodszym jak bezpiecznie pokonać jezdnię – przyzwyczajając ich do właściwych zachowań. Ma to być także sygnał dla kierowców, by zachowali większość ostrożność w pobliżu placówek szkolnych. – Ma to być zmasowana akcja, wszystkie straże gminne i miejskie miałyby pracować w tym samym czasie na przejściach wytypowanych jako najbardziej niebezpieczne – mówi szef strażników z Rumi Roman Świrski. Akcja miałaby się odbyć w pierwszym tygodniu września. Póki co Straż Miejska w Rumi prowadzi działania pod hasłem „Bezpieczne lato” – czuwając nad bezpiecznym wypoczynkiem najmłodszych w mieście.
