Stolemowe szlaki nordic walking w powiecie kościerskim otwarte
Podczas inauguracji przemaszerowało nimi prawie 250 kijkarzy z całego Pomorza, ścigali się w największych tego typu zawodach w Polsce pod hasłem „Puchar Bałtyku”.
Nordic walking, to wymyślona przed stu laty w Finlandii forma rekreacji polegająca na marszu ze specjalnymi kijami. Może ją uprawiać każda osoba bez względu na wiek czy tuszę, a podczas marszu – jak oceniają specjaliści – sport ten uaktywnia 90 proc. mięśni i jest o nawet 40 proc. efektywniejszy od zwykłego chodzenia. Nordic walking zyskuje już od wielu lat popularność na Kaszubach. Szlaki dla kijkarzy powstały między innymi w powiatach kartuskim i wejherowskim, od kilku dni dostępne są też w powiecie kościerskim.
To 136 km oznakowanych ścieżek w gminach Kościerzyna, Lipusz, Nowa karczma, Karsin i Dziemiany, gdzie odbyło się oficjalne otwarcie i zawody dla kijkarzy. Stolemowe szlaki nordic walking w powiecie kościerskim kosztowały blisko 80 tysięcy złotych. Podczas zawodów najlepszy czas na 5 km osiągnął Piotr Brzozowski ze Sławna – 36 minut i 41 sekund, na 10 km najlepszy był Olgierd Depka Prądzyński z Gdyni z czasem 1 godzina 8 minut i 31 sekund.
