Sprawca pożaru skupu złomu w Chwaszczynie zatrzymany. To 21-letni mieszkaniec gminy Żukowo, mężczyzna usłyszał już zarzuty. Złomowisko płonęło 16 listopada – paliły się głównie głównie plastikowe elementy pojazdów i opony. Akcję gaśniczą utrudniało duże zadymienie i utrudniony dostęp do źródła pożaru. Gasiło go prawie przez 14 godzin 30 jednostek straży pożarnej z powiatu kartuskiego i Gdyni. Straty wyceniono na prawie milion złotych. Podejrzanego ujęli kryminalni z Kartuz. 21 -letni mieszkaniec gminy Żukowo przyznał się do podpalenia, policjantom tłumaczył że działał pod wpływem alkoholu. Mężczyzna usłyszał już zarzuty – grozi mu kara do 10 lat pozbawienia wolności. Prokurator zastosował wobec niego dozór policyjny i zakazu opuszczania kraju.
