Sportowcy i trenerzy ziemi wejherowskiej nagrodzeni
Doceniono ich za osiągnięcia na arenie ogólnopolskiej. 45 najlepszych sportowców i trenerów powiatu wejherowskiego wyróżniono wczoraj na dorocznej gali sportu w Wejherowie.
– Aby zasłużyć na uznanie kolegów laureaci muszą się wykazać ponadprzeciętnymi wynikami – podkreśla wejherowska starosta Gabriela Lisius.
Nominacje co roku przyznają przedstawiciele środowisk sportowych ziemi wejherowskiej. Wśród nagrodzonych są karatecy, biegacze, siatkarze i przedstawiciele kilkunastu innych dyscyplin sportowych. – Dobre wyniki to efekt coraz lepszych warunków, w których możemy pracować z młodzieżą – podkreśla trener z Akademii Piłki Siatkowej Rumia Robert Sawicki. Swój sukces komentuje Karol Barzowski z wejherowskiej „Ósemki”, który w tym roku zagra na Mistrzostwach Świata w unihokeju jako reprezentant Polski. Nagrody najlepszym sportowcom i trenerom ziemi wejherowskiej wręczono już po raz siódmy.
