„Spalony budynek” – taki przydomek otrzymał zwycięski projekt, na nowy kompleks edukacyjno-administracyjny w Leśnym Ogrodzie Botanicznym w Marszewie koło Gdyni.
– Przydomek „spalony” nadano projektowi za sprawą opalanego, ciemnego drewna na elewacji – wyjaśniała Ewelina Sobańska z Nadleśnictwa Gdańsk.
To najmłodszy ogród botaniczny w Polsce, który może się już pochwalić kolekcją kilkuset gatunków drzew i krzewów. Do stworzenia tu placówki edukacyjnej dąży Nadleśnictwo Gdańsk. Budynek, w którym będą prowadzone zajęcia, powstanie na podstawie pomysłu zespołu projektowego z Krakowa. Nagrodę pieniężną i możliwość sporządzenia projektu przyznano m.in. za inspirujący pomysł zagospodarowanie terenu i twórcze koncepcje materiałów wykończeniowych. Nowy kompleks, który sprawi że Leśny Ogród Botaniczny w Marszewie będzie otwarty przez cały rok. Ma być gotowy do końca 2018 roku.
