Nowe skrzydło z sala gimnastyczną – plany rozbudowy Szkoły Podstawowej w Bolszewie w gminie Wejherowo nabierają tempa. Gmina przygotowuje się do przetargu. Rozbudowa podstawówki i dostosowanie jej do potrzeb rosnącej ludności Bolszewa powstały już ponad dekadę temu. Jednak do tej pory, jak mówi Kierownik Referatu Oświaty i Spraw Społecznych Urzędu Gminy Krzysztof Sapieha, nie było na to środków.
Obiekt zbudowany w 1966 roku w ramach akcji „Tysiąc szkół na tysiąclecie Polski” przewidziany był na obsługę liczącego wówczas 2 tys osób Bolszewa. Dzisiaj miejscowość ta jest już ponad dwukrotnie liczniejsza, więc pieniądze ostatecznie musiały się znaleźć. Na razie zaadaptowano na potrzeby szkolne budynek w Art Parku dla niektórych klas 1-3, jednak plan rozbudowy jest bardziej ambitny. Do głównego budynku szkoły dobudowane będzie nowe skrzydło, w którym znajdzie się m. in sala gimnastyczna. Pieniądze na inwestycję wyłoży gmina, która stara się również o dofinansowanie z budżetu państwa. 8 września zakończony został etap projektowy i wydane pozwolenie na budowę. W tej chwili gmina szykuje przetarg. Wykonawca wyłoniony zostanie najprawdopodobniej po nowym roku. Planowany termin realizacji inwestycji to wrzesień 2016 roku.
