Skorzystali w tym roku z dofinansowań na usuwanie azbestu
79 gmin z Pomorza w tym roku skorzystało z dofinansowań na usuwanie azbestu, w tym gmina Kościerzyna, gdzie zutylizowano 75 ton tych niebezpiecznych wyrobów.
– Dlatego tak ważny jest profesjonalny demontaż – podkreśla Grzegorz Świtała zastępca wójta gminy Kościerzyna.
Program dofinansowań realizowany jest w Polsce od 7 lat. Dotyczy demontażu, transportu i utylizacji wyrobów zawierających azbest. Na Pomorzu Wojewódzki Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska wydał już na ten cel łącznie 7 mln złotych, dzięki czemu udało się zutylizować aż 15 tysięcy ton wyrobów zawierających azbest. Podczas kruszenia i obróbki tych produktów wydobywający się z nich pył może być przyczyną wielu chorób,w tym pylicy azbestowej i międzybłoniaka opłucnej. W gminie Kościerzyna azbest w tym roku zdjęto z 30 budynków mieszkańców oraz 2 budynków gminnych. Program dofinansowań ma być realizowany w Polsce do 2032 roku. Kolejna edycja na Pomorzu rozpocznie się na początku przyszłego roku.
