Silny wiatr nie pozwolił na rozegranie wyścigów w klasie 29er
W Gdyni silny wiatr nie pozwolił wczoraj żeglarzom na rozegranie wyścigów w klasie 29er. W sumie odwołano wszystkie pięć wyścigów zaplanowanych na pierwszy dzień Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days.
„Górna granica siły wiatru dla tej bardzo szybkiej klasy wynosi 25 węzłów, tymczasem w szkwałach osiągał on nawet prędkość 34 węzłów” – informują organizatorzy. W tych warunkach zdecydowali się odwołać czwartkowe wyścigi. 10 załóg w klasie 29er rozpocznie zmagania dzisiaj.
W planie zawodów rozgrywanych w ramach Pucharu Europy jest 15 wyścigów – triumfatora poznamy w niedzielę. Dziś na Zatoce Gdańskiej ścigać się będą także m.in. młodzi żeglarze na Optymistach. Zmagania na wodzie można oglądać z gdyńskiej plaży. Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days potrwają do 17 lipca.
