Rząd wesprze Gdynię i Kosakowo w sporze sądowym z Komisją Europejską
Polski rząd będzie wspierał Gdynię i Kosakowo w sporze sądowym przeciwko Komisji Europejskiej w sprawie niedozwolonej pomocy dla budowy portu lotniczego. Urzędnicy rządowi poparli wszystkie postulaty samorządowców i wnieśli tak zwaną interwencję przeciwko Komisji.
Gdynia na tę decyzję czekała od kilkunastu miesięcy, bo spór z Komisją przed sądem w Luksemburgu rozpoczął się w ubiegłym roku. Powodem była decyzja Komisji, zgodnie z którą władze lotniska musiały zwrócić samorządom 91,7 mln złotych, uznanych za niedozwoloną pomoc publiczną. Zdaniem Komisji naruszało to zasadę konkurencyjności, głównie z niedalekim portem lotniczym w Gdańsku. Samorządy Gdyni i Kosakowa zaskarżyły tę decyzję do sądu Unii Europejskiej w Luksemburgu, gdzie chcą udowodnić, że wnioski Komisji są sprzeczne z analizami ekonomicznymi inwestorów. Samorządy uważają też, że w tym zakresie mogło dojść do przekroczenia uprawnień przez Komisję.
