Definicja mówi, że jest to patologiczne zwiększenie ilości tkanki tłuszczowej w organizmie. W 95% przyczyną jest przekarmienie. Według badań Instytutu Żywności i Żywienia w Polsce już 62 proc. mężczyzn i 50 proc. kobiet w wieku od 20 do 74 lat ma nadwagę lub jest otyłych. To groźna sytuacja, bo otyłość jest schorzeniem. Co roku na świecie z tego powodu umiera 2, 6 miliona ludzi. Stąd w Polsce już po raz trzeci organizowana jest kampania edukacyjna „Uwaga nadwaga”. We wszystkich centrach NaturHouse organizowane są bezpłatne porady dietetyka oraz badania tkanki tłuszczowej. Podobnie jest w Kościerzynie. Z bezpłatnych porad dietetyka będzie można skorzystać do końca listopada. Dotychczas jedynie 29% kobiet i zaledwie 6% mężczyzn próbowało walczyć z nadwagą i otyłością. Pamiętajmy więc, że każdy zrzucony kilogram odciąża serce i pozwala żyć dłużej i zdrowiej.
