Ruszy budowa odcinka Trasy Kaszubskiej – z Szemuda do Gdyni
Jest umowa na projekt i budowę pierwszego odcinka Trasy Kaszubskiej. Ma być gotowy za trzy lata, będzie kosztował ponad 817 mln zł. Trasa Kaszubska ma wyprowadzić ruch tranzytowy z Trójmiasta i Małego Trójmiasta Kaszubskiego.
Pierwszy odcinek połączy Szemud z Obwodnicą Trójmiasta na węźle Gdynia Wielki Kack. Powstanie łącznie 20 kilometrów drogi ekspresowej wraz z trzema węzłami: mniejszym w Koleczkowie i dwoma dużymi, zespolonymi – w Chwaszczynie oraz Gdyni Wielkim Kacku. Trasa będzie miała po dwa pasy ruchu w każdym kierunku i pas awaryjny, a także ze względu na natężenie ruchu po trzy pasy na odcinku Chwaszczyno – Gdynia Wielki Kack oraz na obwodnicy w obrębie węzła Wielki Kack. Na odcinku z Szemuda do Gdyni przewidziano budowę mostu, estakady, 22. wiaduktów, dwóch przejść podziemnych i kładki dla pieszych. Oprócz drogi ekspresowej powstanie ponad 12 km dróg lokalnych i 15. km dróg zapewniających dojazd do nieruchomości oraz dwa Miejsca Obsługi w pobliżu miejscowości Kamień. Firma Polaqua ma półtora roku na przygotowanie projektu, droga ma być gotowa na przełomie lipca i sierpnia 2021-go roku. To jeden z trzech odcinków przyszłej S6. Jak informuje GDDKiA w trakcie postępowania przetargowego są jeszcze dwa kolejne: z Bożegopola do Luzina i z Luzina do Szemuda.
