Rusza pomorski sezon żeglarski – wiele imprez czeka na miłośników żagli
Rusza sezon żeglarski na Pomorzu. Dla miłośników żagli najbliższe miesiące to dziesiątki regat w różnych klasach. Będą zarówno pojedyncze imprezy jak i całosezonowe żeglarskie projekty.
– To największy projekt żeglarski w Polsce, ukierunkowany na kształcenie młodzieży – mówi wiceprezes Polskiego Związku żeglarskiego Tomasz Chamera.
Oficjalne otwarcie Ogólnopolskiego, Pomorskiego i Klubowego Sezonu Żeglarskiego nastąpi o godzinie 16:30 w siedzibie jubilata, obchodzącego 70 lecie działalności Yacht Klubu Stal Gdynia. Choć dominujące będą przygotowania do letnich igrzysk olimpijskich w Rio de Janeiro, to jak podkreśla marszałek województwa pomorskiego,Mieczysław Struk – rozbudowany kalendarz żeglarskich imprez ma także zachęcić młodzież do zejścia na wodę.
Wśród najciekawszych imprez sezonu wspomnieć należy o Międzynarodowych Regatach o Puchar Trzech Marszałków na wodach Zalewu Wiślanego i Kaliningradzkiego na przełomie czerwca i lipca oraz Żeglarskim Pucharze Trójmiasta, który pod koniec maja zgromadzi około 400 zawodników. Między 24. a 26. czerwca obchodzić będziemy kolejne Święto Morza w Gdyni, natomiast cały sezon trwać będzie rozpoczęty projekt Energa Sailing Cup. Punktuje kolejną ciekawą imprezę prezes Pomorskiego Związku Żeglarskiego Bogusław Witkowski. W sumie między majem a wrześniem rozegranych zostanie ponad setka biegów regatowych.
