Odświeżony wygląd i udogodnienia dla niepełnosprawnych – rumski tunel dworcowy czeka gruntowny remont. PKP PLK zmodernizuje także perony w Rumi, przygotowano już studium wykonalności inwestycji.
– Bardzo nas to cieszy, bo zniweluje to ogromną różnicę standardów pomiędzy Stacją kultura a resztą dworca – mówi zastępca burmistrza Rumi, Ryszard Grychtoł.
Pierwszą odsłonę modernizacji rumskiego dworca oglądaliśmy w 2014 roku, kiedy oddano do użytku zrewitalizowany budynek Stacji Kultura. Nie udało się wówczas wykonać kompleksowego remontu, bo właścicielem podziemnego przejścia i peronu nie jest miasto, a PKP PLK. Teraz ma się to zmienić, bo kolej planuje modernizację rumskiej infrastruktury w ramach szerszego projektu przebudowy linii nr 202 z Gdyni Chyloni do Słupska. Rumski tunel zyska nową elewację, dwie windy dla niepełnosprawnych, sprawne odwodnienie i podjazd dla wózków. PKP PLK na razie nie podaje terminu realizacji inwestycji.
