Zapowiada dynamiczne rządy i harmonijny rozwój miasta – nowy burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny. W listopadowych wyborach zdecydowaną większością wygrał z Elżbietą Rogalę Kończak, która w 2002 roku została wybrana po raz pierwszy na burmistrza Rumi i sprawowała swój urząd 3 kadencje. Pasieczny wygrał w II turze uzyskując 65% głosów. Jak sam przyznaje, nie spodziewał się aż tak dużej przewagi. Pytany czy zapowiadają się zmiany w urzędzie odpowiada że chce się oprzeć na doświadczeniu niektórych urzędników ale szczegółów nie chce zdradzać. Nowy burmistrz Rumi chce prowadzić działania kompleksowe i wieloletnie – jak choćby program remontu ulic. Zależy mu też na tym by wskazać w końcu miejsce gdzie stanie nowy Urząd Miasta. Duży nacisk w tej kadencji ma być też położony na rozwój oświaty – szczególnie boisk, których brakuje przy szkołach.
