Rozpoczyna się 17 edycja Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days
Mistrzowie świata i Europy przyjadą na Pomorze, by walczyć o trofea – w czwartek rozpoczyna się żeglarskie święto, Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days.
– W ciągu tych lat wypracowaliśmy formułę, która stała się atrakcyjna dla zawodników – mówi wiceprezes Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego Tomasz Chamera.
To największy i najbardziej prestiżowy cykl regat w Polsce, który od 17 lat przyciąga do Gdyni setki żeglarzy z całego świata. Dodaje przedstawiciel Volvo Car Poland Stanisław Dojs. Przez dziesięć dni na wodach Zatoki Gdańskiej rywalizować będzie ponad tysiąc żeglarzy w 14 klasach – wśród nich zarówno dzieci na optymistach jak i reprezentanci Polski w klasach olimpijskich Finn czy RS:X. – To impreza na światowym poziomie – oceniają ubiegłoroczni zwycięzcy w klasie 49, Łukasz Przybytek i Paweł Kołodziński.
Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days potrwają od 07 do 17 lipca. Przewidziano także imprezy towarzyszące i dodatkowe atrakcje dla widzów na brzegu.
