Rozpoczęto modernizacje tunelu pod torami kolejowymi w Wejherowie
Karetki nadal nie przejadą, ale woda po deszczach nie będzie już zamykać drogi – w Wejherowie Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad remontuje tunel przy ulicy św. Jana.
Wybudowany w latach 80 miał być dla karetek z wejherowskiego szpitala alternatywnym przejazdem przez tory kolejowe, jednak nowoczesne erki są zbyt wysokie by z niego skorzystać. – To się nie zmieni, ale tunel zostanie teraz uszczelniony, tak by nie był zalewany po intensywniejszych opadach – wyjaśnia Piotr Michalski z GDDKiA. Modernizacja obejmuje także wymianę oświetlenie w tunelu, a metalowe elementy szkieletu zabezpieczone zostaną przed korozją. Remont tunelu przy ul. św. Jana w Wejherowie kosztuje około 850 tys złotych. Prace potrwają do połowy października.
