Róże Ekologii dla placówek z Wejherowa i Gdyni – nagrody Komunalnego Związku Gmin „Dolina Redy i Chylonki” przyznano na podsumowaniu akcji edukacyjnej w mijającym roku szkolnym.
– Dotarliśmy z naszym przekazem do ponad stu różnych placówek oświatowych – mówi przewodniczący zarządu Związku, Tadeusz Wiśniewski.
Przeprowadzono w nim dziesiątki warsztatów, kilka konkursów, zaangażowanych były setki osób. Nauczyciele, dzieci oraz młodzież mogli uczestniczyć w sześciu konkursach i projektach edukacyjnych, całorocznym programie zbiórki baterii oraz w 55 warsztatach terenowych.. Największą wartość dla Komunalnego Związku Gmin ma aspekt edukacyjny.
Na uroczystości w Pomorskim Parku Naukowo – Technologicznym wręczono również wyróżnienia dla placówek, pedagogów i uczniów biorących udział w ekokonkursach. Nowością było przyznanie Róży Ekologii – wyjątkowej nagrody, którą począwszy od tego roku KZG będzie honorował placówki szczególnie zasłużone dla ekodziałalności. Za całokształt pracy Róże Ekologii powędrowały w tym roku do Słonecznego Przedszkola z Wejherowa i Ośrodka Szkolno-Wychowawczego nr 2 z Gdyni. – Nie robimy tego dla nagród, tylko dla edukacji – mówi dyrektor Słonecznego Przedszkola, Mariusz Kozakiewicz. Ponad 200 osób i instytucji zostało wyróżnionych za proekologiczną postawę. W wyniku ich działalności zebrano ponad 50 ton starego sprzętu elektrycznego, zużytych baterii i plastikowych nakrętek.
