Rok Gerarda Labudy. W 2016 r. chcą uczcić profesora
Pomnik, tablica, komiks biograficzny – to niektóre z pomysłów na uczczenie przyszłego roku, który ma być obwołany rokiem prof. Gerarda Labudy. Pomysły padły na piątkowym spotkaniu inauguracyjnym Komitetu Organizacyjnego Obchodów w wejherowskim Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej.
– Planów mamy wiele, będziemy o nich na bieżąco informować – mówi dyrektor muzeum i wiceprezes Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego Tomasz Fopke.
Rok Profesora Labudy jest wspólną inicjatywą wielu organizacji, a wśród nich m.in. Uniwersytetu Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego, Gminnej Biblioteki Publicznej w Luzinie oraz samorządów Wejherowa i Luzina.
W ramach Roku Gerarda Labudy w Luzinie miałby powstać tzw. ławeczkowy pomnik profesora, a tamtejsza biblioteka planuje wydać komiks o życiu naukowca. Na ścianie Gimnazjum nr 1 w Wejherowie, gdzie uczył się profesor zawiśnie pamiątkowa tablica, a aula w nowo powstającym skrzydle Wydziału Historycznego Uniwersytetu w Poznaniu nosić będzie imię Gerarda Labudy. Profesor zostawił po sobie bibliotekę licząca 26 tysięcy woluminów i nieocenioną spuściznę naukową. Zmarł w październiku 2010 roku w wieku 93 lat.
