By już więcej się nie powtórzył – rocznicę Marszu Śmierci więźniów obozu Stutthof upamiętnią w Pomieczynie koło Przodkowa. Uroczystości odbędą się w najbliższą niedzielę.
– Wielu zmarło z wycieńczenia, chcemy przypomnieć ten dramat – mówi współorganizatorka obchodów w Pomieczynie Róża Rzeszewicz.
Z ewakuowanego w styczniu 1945 roku obozu Stutthof w Marsz Śmierci wyruszyło 11 tysięcy więźniów. Szli przez Pruszcz Gdański, Kolbudy, Żukowo, Przodkowo, Luzino aż do Lęborka. Brnęli w głębokim śniegu przy silnym mrozie. Obchody rocznicy Marszu Śmierci rozpoczęto w Pomieczynie w ubiegłym roku z inicjatywy oddziałów Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego w Przodkowie i Szemudzie oraz proboszcza pomieczyńskiej parafii. W najbliższą niedzielę rozpocznie je o 14:00 msza święta w kościele pod wezwaniem św. Józefa.
