Prawie 4 tysiące osób, głównie z południowych Kaszub, przybyło na Kalwarię Wielewską na największy w roku Odpust Wniebowstąpienia Pańskiego.
Oprócz pielgrzymek pieszych, byli też motocykliści, rowerzyści i grupy biegowe i nordic walking. Uczestnicy mieli ze sobą flagi kaszubskie, a droga krzyżowa i główna msza odpustowa odprawiona była częściowo w języku kaszubskim. Podczas powitania pielgrzymek głównym punktem były pokłony obrazów, którym przyglądały się tłumy widzów. Uroczystości odpustowe we Wielu potrwają do przyszłej niedzieli. Pątnicy ze środkowych Kaszub i Nordy pielgrzymowali w ten weekend na Kalwarię Wejherowską.
