Reforma edukacji będzie w Gdańsku kosztować 37 mln zł w ciągu trzech lat – wyliczył miejski samorząd. W tym czasie pracę straci 700 nauczycieli – poinformowano na oficjalnym portalu miasta.
4 września naukę w Gdańsku rozpocznie ponad 52 tysiące uczniów, z tego 5 tys 700 uczęszczać będzie do 250 oddziałów przedszkolnych. Reforma oświaty to przede wszystkim duże zmiany związane z likwidacją gimnazjów i adaptacją szkolnych budynków do nowych potrzeb. Na edukacyjnej mapie Gdańska pojawiło się m.in. siedem nowych publicznych samorządowych szkół podstawowych, w tym sześć utworzonych na bazie gimnazjów i jedna całkiem nowa. Koszty wprowadzenia reformy samorząd ocenił na prawie 37 mln. Tyle w ciągu trzech lat mają kosztować m.in. remonty, modernizacje i wymiana sprzętu, by dostosować szkoły do nowych potrzeb – w tym pojawienia się młodszych roczników dzieci w budynkach, w których do tej pory uczyli się gimnazjaliści. Już 347 nauczycieli pożegnało się z pracą – nie przedłużono im umowy. W ciągu trzech lat w Gdańsku w sumie 700 etatów nie będzie kontynuowanych.
