REDA: Powstanie Miejski Dom Kultury
W Redzie będzie Miejski Dom Kultury. Na jego potrzeby zaadaptowany zostanie budynek w dawnym Miejskim Przedsiębiorstwie Ciepłowniczo – Komunalnym „Koksik”.
Na ostatniej sesji rada miasta zdecydowała o podzieleniu funkcji Miejskiego Ośrodka Kultury, Sportu i Rekreacji między dwie jednostki. Przywrócono tym samym stan sprzed osiemnastu lat – gdy funkcjonował ośrodek sportu oraz niezależna od niego jednostka odpowiedzialna za kulturę w Redzie. W 1995 roku Dom Kultury zamknięto, bo budynek nie spełniał podstawowych wymogów bezpieczeństwa. Póki co nowy Miejski Dom Kultury nie ma kierownictwa ani domu. Konkurs na dyrektora jednostki ogłosimy w tym miesiącu, na przystosowanie budynku do nowych funkcji chcemy pozyskać dotację z ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego – mówi burmistrz Redy Krzysztof Krzemiński. Wnioski mają być rozpatrywane w marcu przyszłego roku. Miejski Dom Kultury będzie się mieścił w budynku dawnego miejskiego przedsiębiorstwa ciepłowniczo – komunalnego Koksik. Co nie znaczy, że bez niej nowa jednostka nie może funkcjonować.
Imprezy kulturalne będą się też odbywać w salach gimnastycznych. Wszystkie szkoły w Redzie dysponują już takimi obiektami. Jako ostatnia o salę wzbogacił się Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych nr. 2, uroczyste otwarcie nastąpi jutro.
