Nowy przejazd na kanale Łyskim w Redzie gotowy. Włączeniem sygnalizacji świetlnej zakończono dziś także przebudowę skrzyżowania ulicy Obwodowej z Łąkową. Światła mają uporządkować ruch na ruchliwej drodze, którą kierowcy omijają zatłoczone centrum miasta – także w drodze do Pucka i dalej na Półwysep Helski. Nowy przejazd na kanale Łyskim udrożnił ruch na ulicy Obwodowej. Wąską kładkę zastąpiono dwupasmowym mostkiem ze ścieżką rowerową. W uruchomieniu sygnalizacji pomogła mu starosta wejherowska Gabirela Lisius. Znaczenie Obwodowej jako alternatywy dla krajowej szóstki jeszcze wzrośnie, gdy ukończone zostanie jej połączenie z Rumią, z ulicą Kosynierów. Budowa mostka i skrzyżowania to wspólny projekt powiatu i miasta Reda – ich starania o finansowe wsparcie z rezerwy ministra transportu po dwóch latach zakończyły się sukcesem. Dzięki prawie milionowej dotacji oba samorządy dołożyły ze swoich budżetów po milionie złotych.
