Przymierzają się do budowy pomnika Aleksandra Majkowskiego
W Kościerzynie przymierzają się budowy pomnika Aleksandra Majkowskiego – ma być gotowy w 2018 roku.
Autor „Życia i przygód Remusa” urodził się w Kościerzynie i przez wiele lat związany był z tym miastem. Przypomina o tym pomnik Remusa na kościerskim rynku, a także popiersie pisarza ulicy Szopińskiego. Na monumencie widać już jednak upływ lat, dlatego radni na ostatniej sesji zdecydowali o przeniesieniu popiersia do Muzeum Ziemi Kościerskiej i jego renowacji. Jak zapowiedział burmistrz Michał Majewski władze miasta przymierzają się do budowy nowego, bardziej okazałego pomnika pisarza. Pieniądze na projekt pomnika mają znaleźć się w przyszłorocznym budżecie miasta. Obiekt ma być gotowy w 2018 roku, na 80 rocznicę śmierci Aleksandra Majkowskiego.
