Przygotowują dokumentację środowiskową dla Portu w Gdyni
Dokumentację środowiskową dla Portu Zewnętrznego w Gdyni przygotuje Uniwersytet Gdański. Podpisano już umowę w tej sprawie. To część przygotowań do jednej z największych inwestycji Portu Gdynia.
Ma być przedłużeniem Nabrzeża Śląskiego i sięgać ponad półtora km w głąb morza. – Przyszłość Gdyni to terminal kontenerowy głębokowodny, z możliwością obsługiwania wszystkich największych statków, które tutaj są w stanie dotrzeć – ocenił prezes zarządu Morskiego Portu Gdynia Adam Meller. Port Zewnętrzny ma powstać na obszarze chronionym Natura 2000. Badania przyrodnicze będą prowadzone przez naukowców Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego przez najbliższe 12 miesięcy. Zakres analiz obejmuje inwentaryzację ptaków przebywających w obszarze Natura 2000 Zatoka Pucka, a także ryb oraz organizmów bentosowych żyjących na dnie akwenu przeznaczonego pod Port Zewnętrzny.
