W ramach kampanii „Mały procent – wielka sprawa” po raz dziesiąty już zachęcają do odpisywania 1% i przekazywania go działającym na terenie Gdyni fundacjom, stowarzyszeniom, klubom sportowym. To jeden z najprostszych sposobów poparcia dla ważnych społecznie działań, a także świadoma inwestycja w przyszłość i rozwój otoczenia – przekonują władze miasta. Gdynian do przekazywania 1% przekonywać nie trzeba – w ubiegłym roku tej procedury dopełniła prawie połowa. Jednak do gdyńskich organizacji wpłynęła niewielka część przekazanych 5 mln zł. By przekazać 1% podatku uprawnionej do tego organizacji pożytku publicznego wystarczy w rocznym zeznaniu podatkowym wpisać jej nazwę i numer KRS. Wykaz fundacji i stowarzyszeń z siedzibą w Gdyni opublikowano na oficjalnej stronie miasta, listę wszystkich uprawnionych znaleźć można między innymi na stronach Ministerstwa Pracy i Polityki Społecznej.
