Profesor Edward Breza nagrodzony Sopocką Muzą
Znany kaszubski językoznawca profesor Edward Breza nagrodzony Sopocką Muzą, nagrodą prezydenta Sopotu za wybitne osiągnięcia w dziedzinie nauki, kultury i sztuki.
Profesor jest autorem ponad 2 tysięcy publikacji naukowych i popularnonaukowych. Urodził się w 1932 roku w Kaliszu koło Kościerzyny,ale od kilkudziesięciu lat mieszka w Sopocie. Jest wybitnym językoznawcą, szczególnie zasłużonym dla języka kaszubskiego. W 1975 roku wspólnie z profesorem Jerzym Treder stworzył „Zasady pisowni kaszubskiej” a w 1982 roku napisał książkę pt. „Gramatyka kaszubska. Zarys popularny”. Do dzisiaj aktywnie działa w Radzie Języka Kaszubskiego. W 1983 r. otrzymał Medal Stolema, jest też Honorowym Obywatelem Kościerzyny. Nagrodę prezydenta Sopotu otrzymał wspólnie z choreografką Joanną Czajkowską i muzykiem Piotrem Kosewskim. (Fot: Fotobank.PL)
