Powstała naukowa biografia o księdzu Józefie Wryczy
Jego legenda budowała Kaszubów i pozwalała przetrwać trudny czas okupacji i komunizmu. O mitach i prawdziwej historii księdza podpułkownika Józefa Wryczy opowiada dr Krzysztof Korda w najnowszej książce poświęconej jego biografii.
Urodzony pod koniec 19. wieku ks. Józef Wrycza zasłynął jako bezkompromisowy przywódca Kaszubów i działacz społeczny. Jako ksiądz pracował na parafiach w Borzyszkowach, Jastarni, Wielu oraz Tucholi. W okresie międzywojennym był członkiem Towarzystwa Młodokaszubów, a podczas II wojny światowej przywódcą Tajnej Organizacji Wojskowej „Gryf Pomorski”.
To jedna z najbarwniejszych postaci w historii Kaszubów – opowiada autor biografii dr Krzysztof Korda. Zamiarem autora było skonfrontowanie legendy ks. Wryczy z faktami historycznymi. Ale jak podkreśla dr Korda ta legenda często pomagała Kaszubom przetrwać trudny czas. Książka poświęcona księdzu Józefowi Wryczy będzie promowana w najbliższą niedzielę w Szymbarku. Kolejne spotkania z autorem zaplanowano też we Wielu, Jastarni i Wejherowie.
