Kartuskie gminy atrakcyjniejsze dzięki nowemu szlakowi rowerowemu
Stężyca, Somonino, Sulęczyno, Kartuzy i być może Sierakowice. Te gminy ma połączyć jeden szlak rowerowy. Nad siecią ścieżek, które mają być atrakcją zarówno dla mieszkańców, jak i dla turystów zwiedzających środkowe Kaszuby, pracują samorządy z powiatu kartuskiego.
W trakcie projektowania 43 kilometrów ścieżek jest już gmina Stężyca – zamierza je wybudować w latach 2016-2017, a przewidziany całkowity koszt inwestycji to około 14 milionów złotych. Nowe szlaki rowerowe mogłyby zostać przedłużone w ościennych samorządach, jednak przed doprowadzeniem projektu do ostatecznej wersji, wójtów i burmistrzów czeka jeszcze wiele spotkań i konsultacji. Planowane jest też uzyskanie dofinansowania z funduszy unijnych w nowym okresie finansowania. – Wszyscy się staramy o to, by Kaszuby były coraz bardziej atrakcyjne dla turystów – a stworzenie szlaku rowerowego jest kolejnym krokiem w tym kierunku – mówi burmistrz Kartuz Mirosława Lehman.
Podobny do projektu, nad którym dopiero myślą w powiecie kartuskim, jest Turystyczny Szlak Północnych Kaszub – 133 kilometrów rowerowego szlaku od Kosakowa przez Puck, Krokową, Gniewino do Wejherowa. Projekt jest na ukończeniu, swój odcinek z Pogórza przez Rewę do granicy z gminą Puck w połowie września otworzy uroczyście gmina Kosakowo.
