Poszukują bohaterów w ramach kampanii Biała Wstążka
Nie akceptuj przemocy, korzystaj z pomocy – pod takim hasłem Gminny Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej w Wejherowie włącza się do kampanii Biała Wstążka. To największa na świecie akcja skierowana przeciwko przemocy i dyskryminacji wobec kobiet.
– Poprzez tę kampanię i konkurs chcemy sprowokować do publicznej dyskusji na temat problemu przemocy – mówi Anna Pawelec z Gminnego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w Wejherowie.
Biała Wstążka rozpoczęła się w 1991 roku w Kanadzie, dzisiaj bierze w niej udział ponad 50 krajów. Akcja powstała z inicjatywy mężczyzn i do nich jest kierowana. Jej celem jest walka z przemocą wobec kobiet, wspieranie działań na rzecz jej przeciwdziałania oraz protest przeciwko dyskryminacji wynikającej z uwarunkowań historycznych, środowiskowych i społecznych. Po raz drugi włącza się do niej także wejherowski GOPS i ogłasza konkurs na męskiego bohatera, który czynnie pomagał pokrzywdzonym kobietom lub występował w ich obronie.
Kandydatury zgłaszać można osobiście w siedzibie Ośrodka, za pośrednictwem poczty bądź poprzez formularz dostępny na internetowej stronie GOPS. Termin zgłoszeń mija 20 listopada, wyniki konkursu poznamy tydzień później.
