Port Gdynia przyjmie największe kontenerowce oceaniczne
Port Gdynia przyjmie największe kontenerowce oceaniczne – rusza kolejna inwestycja, która ma to umożliwić.
Szacuje się, że do 2025 roku u przeładunki kontenerów w Zatoce Gdańskiej powinny osiągnąć poziom 5 mln TEU, co oznacza ok. 140 procent wzrostu w porównaniu z obrotami w roku ubiegłym. By temu sprostać rozpoczęto pierwszy etap pogłębienia toru podejściowego i akwenów wewnętrznych Portu Gdynia – dzięki czemu będą mogły tam zawijać duże statki kontenerowe nawet do 400-u metrów długości, obsługujące bezpośrednie połączenia Europa – Azja. W tym celu Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A. ogłosił właśnie przetarg na przebudowę Obrotnicy nr 2. Zostanie ona oddana do użytku pod koniec przyszłego roku.
Po zakończeniu inwestycji infrastrukturalnych i modernizacji wyposażenia ogólna zdolność przeładunkowa kontenerów w Porcie Gdynia osiągnie ok. 2 mln TEU. Szacowany koszt inwestycji to ok. 30 mln euro. Planowane są również kolejne etapy inwestycji, przygotowywane do realizacji w latach 2018-2020.
