Porozumienie w sprawie Europejskiego Funduszu Morskiego i Rybackiego
Jest porozumienie unijnych ministrów rolnictwa w sprawie Europejskiego Funduszu Morskiego i Rybackiego. Ma on być narzędziem zreformowanej polityki rybołówstwa w Unii, która ma przeciwdziałać przeławianiu.
Fundusz będzie częścią budżetu unijnego na lata 2014-2020 i będą się na niego składały środki w wysokości ok. 6 mld 400 mln euro. Nowy fundusz będzie dofinansowywał m.in. nowe technologie, przyczyniające się do tworzenia nowych miejsc pracy w regionach nadbrzeżnych Europy. Zmniejszy natężenie połowów i zapewnieni odpowiedni czas na odtworzenie zasobów rybnych. Fundusz rybacki będzie wspierał reformę unijnej polityki rybołówstwa na lata 2014-2020, która zakłada m.in że stopniowo rybacy nie będą mogli przeławiać i wyrzucać niechcianych ryb z powrotem do wody. Fundusz ma być uruchomiony 01 stycznia przyszłego roku, wcześniej jednak unijni ministrowie muszą porozumieć się w tej sprawie z Parlamentem Europejskim i Komisją Europejską.
W ubiegłym tygodniu komisja parlamentu europejskiego ds. rybołówstwa przegłosowała zasady udzielania subsydiów z europejskiego funduszu rybackiego. Zezwalają one na wydatkowanie unijnych pieniędzy na modernizację kutrów i budowę nowych, które zastąpią stare, ponad 35-letnie łodzie.
