Pomorski sejmik przegłosował połączenie Copernicusa i WCO
Po ponad dwugodzinnej burzliwej debacie radni pomorskiego sejmiku powiedzieli „tak” dla połączenia szpitali spółki Copernicus z Wojewódzkim Centrum Onkologii. Za fuzją opowiedziało się 23 radnych związanych z Platformą Obywatelską.
– Nie zamierzamy niczego burzyć, chcemy przyspieszyć obsługę pacjentów onkologicznych – mówi marszałek województwa, Mieczysław Struk.
Sprawa połączenia WCO z Copernicusem od czerwca budzi gorące emocje zarówno między lekarzami, jak i radnymi sejmiku. Przeciwnicy fuzji – związkowcy z NSZZ Solidarność i radni powiązani z Prawem i Sprawiedliwością wytykają pospiesznie przygotowanie procedury, brak konsultacji społecznych i ignorowanie stanowiska fachowców. Z WCO odejdzie prawdopodobnie także 22 lekarzy, którzy obecnie są pracownikami Uniwersyteckiego Centrum Klinicznego, ponieważ połączenie z Copernicusem nie pozwoli im pracować w konkurencyjnej placówce. Radni Platformy Obywatelskiej ripostują, że połączenie to jedynie zmiana administracyjna. Uchwała trafi teraz na biurko wojewody do prawnego zaopiniowania. Jeżeli opozycja nie oprotestuje uchwały, fuzja stanie się faktem w ciągu miesiąca.
