Pomoc uchodźcom nie będzie kosztem Gdańszczan – zapewniają władze miasta. Pomorski wojewoda zapowiada uproszczenie procedur. W Gdańsku obradował zespół do spraw Modelu Integracji imigrantów.
– Nad pokonywaniem barier językowych i kulturowych czy rozwiązaniem kwestii mieszkaniowej obradowali wczoraj w gdańsku przedstawiciele organizacji pozarządowych, miejskich instytucji, służ mundurowych i władz miasta – mówił prezydent Gdańska Paweł Adamowicz.
Powołany w maju w sprawie ewentualnych uchodźców z Ukrainy, teraz skupia się na przygotowaniu kompleksowego wsparcia dla uciekających z Bliskiego Wschodu. Paweł Adamowicz przypomniał, że w mieście dotychczas przebywało 8 rodzin o statusie uchodźców. Ilu ich teraz trafi do Gdańska nie wiadomo. Pomoc zadeklarowały też m.in. Gniewino, Gdynia i Sopot. – Pomorze będzie przygotowane – zapewnia wicewojewoda pomorski Michał Owczarczak. Działające w Gdańsku Centrum Wspierania Imigrantów i Imigrantek otrzymało już ponad sto zgłoszeń od osób, które chcą pomagać jako tłumacze czy mentorzy dla potencjalnych uchodźców, którzy zamieszkaliby na Pomorzu.
