Pola Nadziei na Pomorzu 2018 | 22.04
22 kwietnia wolontariusze w żółtych koszulkach będą kwestować na ulicach, skwerach, placach, przy kościołach w Pucku, Gdyni, Sopocie, Gdańsku i okolicach.
Na trasie włączających się w akcję miast odbędzie się sztafeta motocyklistów, która wyruszy z Pucka już o godzinie 9.00. Witana będzie w kolejnych hospicjach przez ich pracowników, przyjaciół i wolontariuszy. O godzinie 12.00 przy molo na Zaspie w Gdańsku-Brzeźnie dołączą do nich pojazdy zabytkowe, które wezmą udział także w Żonkilowej Paradzie, która dotrze aż pod fontannę Neptuna w Gdańsku. Planowane są także wydarzenia dodatkowe:

12.00 mecz koszykówki: SMS Cetniewo vs wolontariusze, PCKZiU, ul. Kolejowa 7
Sopot:
13.30 koncert Pełen Nadziei, kościół św. Jerzego, ul. T. Kościuszki 1
Gdańsk:
14.30 Żonkil Dance występy muzyczne i taneczne, ul. Długi Targ
Gdynia:
19.00 – Męski Chór Szantowy „Zawisza Czarny” Gdynia i Goście, kościół o.o. Franciszkanów, ul. K. Ujejskiego 40
Celem akcji jest zbiórka na rzecz podopiecznych hospicjów, a także zwrócenie uwagi ideę opieki hospicyjnej. Pierwsze Pola Nadziei zakwitły w szkockim Edynburgu, zorganizowane przez Fundację Marie Curie Cancer Care. Stamtąd też przywędrował do nas zwyczaj darowania żonkili osobom przyłączającym się do zbiórki.
Pola Nadziei na Pomorzu, czyli Wielka Kwesta i Żonkilowa Sztafeta, wraz z wydarzeniami towarzyszącymi, pozwalają zebrać środki na rzecz: Hospicjum dla Dzieci i Dorosłych im. ks. E. Dutkiewicza SAC w Gdańsku, Hospicjum Pomorze Dzieciom, Domu Hospicyjnego Caritas im. Św. Józefa w Sopocie, Stowarzyszenia Hospicjum im. św. Faustyny w Sopocie, Hospicjum im Św. Wawrzyńca w Gdyni, wraz z Domem Hospicyjnym dla Dzieci „Bursztynową Przystanią” oraz Puckiego Hospicjum pw. Ojca Pio.
Organizowana każdej wiosny zbiórka, pozwala hospicjom finansować opiekę nad dorosłymi i dziećmi, którzy potrzebują całodobowego, profesjonalnego wsparcia. Słowo hospicjum wywodzi się od łacińskich słów hospes – „gość” i hospitium – „gościna”. Zespoły hospicyjne odpowiadają na medyczne, ale również zwyczajne, ludzkie potrzeby pacjentów: bliskości, rozmowy. W swojej misji kierują się hasłem „Hospicjum to też Życie”.
