Pokonaj cukrzycę – pod tym hasłem dzisiaj w Kościerzynie odbywa się happening z okazji Światowego Dnia Zdrowia. Na rynku można skorzystać z porad dietetyka i bezpłatnie dokonać badań profilaktycznych.
Cukrzyca zaliczana jest już do chorób cywilizacyjnych, której powodem często są złe nawyki żywieniowe i brak aktywności fizycznej. Na świecie choruje na nią około 350 mln ludzi, a w Polsce około 3 mln. Jak zapobiegać tej chorobie – mówią dzisiaj między innymi uczniowie klasy gastronomicznej z Powiatowego Zespołu Szkół nr 1 w Kościerzynie. Happening potrwa na kościerskim rynku do godziny 14. Organizatorem spotkania jest kościerski sanepid wraz z Miejskim Ośrodkiem Pomocy Społecznej.
