Poddział chirurgii onkologicznej otwarto w kościerskim szpitalu
Pacjenci z okolic Kościerzyny będą mieli lepszy dostęp do opieki onkologicznej. W kościerskim szpitalu, po roku przygotowań, otwarto pododdział chirurgii onkologicznej. Dotychczas podobne dostępne były jedynie w Gdyni, Słupsku i Gdańsku.
Koszt remontu pomieszczeń i wyposażenia oddziału wyniósł 1 mln 300 tysięcy zł. – Nowy pododział jednorazowo może przyjąć 13 pacjentów – mówił podczas otwarcia prezes szpitala Wiktor Hajdenrajch. Podkreślał Jacek Zieliński, wojewódzki konsultant ds. chirurgii onkologicznej na Pomorzu. Onkolodzy w Kościerzynie będą leczyli głównie nowotwory piersi, przewodu pokarmowego, skóry oraz tarczycy.
