Pobiegną oddać cześć pomordowanym w Piaśnicy
Ponad sześćset osób pobiegnie ulicami Wejherowa, by oddać cześć pomordowanym przez hitlerowców.
– Chcemy w ten sposób nagłaśniać tę wciąż mało znaną tragedię – mówi kierownik Referatu Oświaty wejherowskiego Urzędu Gminy, Krzysztof Sapieha.
W sobotę odbędzie się tam bieg w ramach obchodów Dni Piaśnickich. Na przełomie 1939 i 1940 roku funkcjonariusze SS i członkowie Selbschutzu rozstrzelali kilkanaście tysięcy osób w piaśnickich lasach w ramach tzw. akcji „Inteligencja”. Na pamiątkę tych wydarzeń w gminie Wejherowo już po raz czwarty z dystansem 10 kilometrów zmierzą się biegacze z całych Kaszub.
Obchody Dni Piaśnickich rozpoczynają się już dziś – rajdem pieszym dla uczniów ze szkół podstawowych. W sobotę rano odbędą się biegi dla dzieci, a bieg główny wystartuje o godzinie 11:30. przy Bramie Piaśnickiej. – W tym czasie odcinek drogi do mostu na rzece Redzie będzie zamknięty dla ruchu kołowego – mówi Krzysztof Sapieha. Będzie to już IV Bieg Piaśnicki. Gmina Wejherowo chce tę tradycję kontynuować także w następnych latach.
