Po kilkanaście milionów z unijnej kasy chcą sięgnąć w Rumi
W zieloną wyspę z piękną wieżą widokową chcą zmienić Rumię tamtejsi samorządowcy. Aby zagospodarować tereny na obrzeżach miasta radni chcą aplikować po niemal 12 milionów złotych ze środków unijnych.
Decyzja zapadła na wczorajszej sesji rady miasta. Chodzi o okolice ulicy Topolowej, osiedle Lotnisko oraz Wzgórze Markowca. Radni podjęli łącznie 5 uchwał dotyczących zabezpieczenia środków, aktualizacji planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego i złożenia wniosków o unijne środki. – To jedne z najbardziej atrakcyjnych terenów w mieście, które przez lata leżały odłogiem – mówi burmistrz Michał Pasieczny.
Ławeczki, strefy rekreacyjne oraz ścieżki rowerowe i spacerowe mają powstać w Starej Rumi i w okolicach Lotniska w ramach projektu Zielona Wyspa – około 1 miliona 700-set tysięcy złotych chcą pozyskać samorządowcy na realizację tego projektu. O ponad 7 milionów z szacunkowych 9-ciu będą aplikować na długo planowaną wieżę widokową na Wzgórzu Markowca. – Z poprzedniego rozdania unijnych pieniędzy wykorzystaliśmy ułamek możliwości, drugi raz takiej szansy nie przepuścimy – mówi Michał Pasieczny.
Realizacja tych inwestycji – jeżeli starania o fundusze europejskie zakończą się sukcesem – według rumskich samorządowców potrwa przynajmniej 3 lata.
