Plińce z cukrem i frytki królowały na święcie ziemniaka
Plińce z cukrem oraz frytki z kaszubskich „bulew” były rozchwytywane w Lisich Jamach koło Sierakowic. Wczoraj odbyło się tam doroczne święto ziemniaka.
Po żniwach są dożynki, a po wykopkach święto ziemniaka – mówili organizatorzy. Zebrani mogli podziwiać występy artystyczne oraz wystawę sprzętu rolniczego. Sporym zainteresowaniem cieszyła się tez loteria fantowa. Ciekawostką był konkurs na najcięższego ziemniaka. W kalendarzu rolniczym, pory sadzenia czy zbioru ziemniaków ściśle w tradycji wiązały się i nadal wiążą z kalendarzem liturgicznym. Przysłowie mówi „Na Filipa apostoła kartofel do ziemi woła”. Z kolei 23 września, czyli w dzień św. Tekli, rozpoczynał się okres rozpalania ognisk i pieczenia ziemniaków. Mówiono „Na świętej Tekli ziemniaki będziemy piekli”. Czas zakończenia wybierania ziemniaków przypadał na św. Michała Archanioła, tj. 29 września.
