Planowane zmiany w gdyńskiej sieci szkół oprotestowują rodzice
Wraz z początkiem nowego roku szkolnego osiemnaście spośród stu czterech szkół, które się obecnie znajdują na mapie Gdyni, miało by zostać zreformowanych. Restrukturyzacja proponowana przez Prezydenta i podległe mu służby, polegać ma na łączeniu oddziałów i stopniowym wygaszaniu poszczególnych placówek. Spowodowane jest to zmniejszająca się liczbą dzieci i młodzieży w wieku 12-19 lat oraz niedopasowaniem obecnej sieci oświatowej do struktury demograficznej poszczególnych dzielnic.
Sprzeciwia się jednak temu część rodziców, przede wszystkim tych z dzielnicy Obłuże, gdzie zlikwidowana miałaby być szkoła nr. 44 i XIII Liceum Ogólnokształcące. – Zmiany w gdyńskiej oświacie są konieczne i tego nie negujemy. Na pewno jednak nie na taką skalę, jak proponują władze miasta – stwierdził podczas spotkania z rodzicami Marcin Horała, były radny Gdyni, a obecnie poseł PiS. Jak podaje Dziennik Bałtycki, również Mirosława Król, radna Platformy Obywatelskiej jest podobnego zdania. Istnieje także obawa utraty pracy przez nauczycieli.
Te zarzuty jednak na łamach Dziennika Bałtyckiego odrzuca Wiceprezydent Bartosz Bartoszewicz. – Ani liczba klas, ani nauczycielskich etatów się nie zmieni – mówi wiceprezydent Bartoszewicz. Władze miasta przekonują też, że uczniowie, którzy rozpoczęli naukę w szkołach objętych reformą, w zdecydowanej większości ukończą ją w tej samej placówce. (Foto: www.italianovero.com.pl)
