Pisarz S. Janke i prof. E. Breza honorowymi obywatelami gminy Lipusz
Pisarz Stanisław Janke i prof. Edward Breza zostali honorowymi obywatelami gminy Lipusz. Wyróżnienia wręczono za ich życiowe dokonania, a też promocję lipuskiej gminy.
Znany językoznawca profesor Breza w dzieciństwie należał do lipuskiej parafii, a potem badał na tym terenie nazwy miejscowe i nazwiska Kaszubów. Drugi laureat Stanisław Janke pochodzi z Lipusza, tu uczył się szkole podstawowej, a w miejscowej bibliotece zainspirował się Kaszubami i literaturą. To ukształtowało moje życie – wspominał podczas uroczystości. Tytuł honorowego obywatela w gminie Lipusz wręczany jest co 15 lat.
