Pił alkohol pod sklepem, potem wsiadł do samochodu – w Wejherowie zatrzymano nietrzeźwego kierowcę dzięki czujności dyżurującego przy miejskim monitoringu.
Do zdarzenia doszło drugiego sierpnia tuż przed szóstą rano. Patrol policji i straży na ulicy I Brygady Pancernej zatrzymał nietrzeźwego kierującego z Leśniewa. Mężczyzna miał w wydychanym powietrzu 2,22 promila alkoholu, wiózł trzech pasażerów. Wcześniej z czterema osobami spożywał piwo przy pawilonach handlowych na ulicy Puckiej. Dyżurny straży miejskiej przy ekranach monitoringu dokładnie widział, jak mężczyzna wsiadł za kierownicę vw passata i powiadomił patrol. Nietrzeźwemu kierowcy z Leśniewa grozi do dwóch lat więzienia oraz bezwarunkowo zakaz prowadzenia pojazdów mechanicznych.
W sumie podczas weekendowych kontroli drogowych wejherowscy policjanci zatrzymali siedmiu nietrzeźwych kierowców. Mieli od 1 do blisko 2 promili w wydychanym powietrzu, a zatrzymania miały miejsce m.in. w Gniewinie, Rumi, Luzinie i Wejherowie.
